Supporting Rainforest Conservation Worldwide

About

Our Mission

Jungle Lifeline, a UK CIC charity, is dedicated to supporting rainforest conservation, wildlife rescue projects, and raising awareness globally. Through initiatives like The Jungle Hut and Look, It’s Louie!, we aim to secure funding, engage supporters through various means, and share impactful stories from the rainforest, fostering trust and transparency in our work.

Projects

Our Impactful Work

Jungle Lifeline is proud to support a growing network of conservation and educational initiatives — protecting endangered wildlife, preserving rainforest habitats, and inspiring a new generation of conservationists both in the UK and around the world.

Animal Rescue& Rewilding in South America

In the heart of Peru’s Amazon rainforest, we support a frontline animal rescue and rehabilitation centre that works tirelessly to save injured and trafficked wildlife — including monkeys, macaws, and wild cats. With your help, we fund emergency care, long-term sanctuary space, and the safe reintroduction of animals into protected jungle areas.

We’re also proud to align with the mission of Junglekeepers, a Peruvian NGO protecting over 55,000 acres of primary rainforest. Their team of forest rangers patrols, monitors, and safeguards this vital land from illegal logging and exploitation. Jungle Lifeline aims to help strengthen their work by raising awareness and funds to expand their reach and keep the forest standing.

Orangutan & Habitat Protection in Indonesia

In Southeast Asia, Jungle Lifeline is committed to supporting orangutan conservation and rainforest protection efforts in Borneo and Sumatra. These regions are home to critically endangered orangutans who face daily threats from palm oil deforestation and illegal wildlife trade. Through future partnerships, we hope to contribute to habitat protection, community reforestation programs, and the

long-term care of displaced or orphaned orangutans.

Our ambassador Louie the Orangutan is central to this mission — helping raise awareness about the rainforest crisis and inspiring thousands of children and families to take action.

Our Global Partnership: Bukit Lawang Trust

We’re excited to be supporting the incredible work of Bukit Lawang Trust, a grassroots charity providing free education to children in remote rainforest communities in North Sumatra. Through our new Jungle Connections project, we’re giving children here in the UK a chance to learn about rainforest life, and connect with children overseas through care, creativity, and conservation.

UK Education Through Community Engagement

Jungle Lifeline CIC operates as the community-interest and not-for-profit arm of The Jungle Rangers Jungle Hut, an established wildlife education centre in Solihull founded by Darren and Kerrie Edwards.

The Jungle Hut provides the physical base, specialist animal care expertise, and experienced education team that enable Jungle Lifeline to deliver high-quality conservation and sustainability learning experiences to schools, families, and community groups.

A Voice for the Jungle – Right Here in the UK

Jungle Lifeline exists to be a voice for the rainforest, even from thousands of miles away. Based in the UK, our mission is to raise awareness, inspire action, and connect people to the incredible wildlife, people and fragile ecosystems of the world’s jungles. We believe that conservation starts with understanding – and by educating and empowering communities here at home, we can make a real difference for those on the frontlines of rainforest protection. Through talks, outreach, and hands-on experiences, Jungle Lifeline brings the spirit of the jungle to life and champions the vital message that we all have a role to play in protecting our planet’s wildest places.

By booking Louie the world first life like male Orangutan costume , you’re not only bringing a unique experience to your event, but also helping spark crucial conversations about Orangutan conservation. Each appearance raises awareness about the urgent need to protect these incredible animals and their habitats. Your booking supports efforts to preserve orangutans, so together, we can continue the fight for their future—one conversation at a time.

The Jungle Ranger,

Talks & Events

Bring your event to life with Darren, also known as The Jungle Ranger – a passionate conservationist with over 30 years of hands-on experience in exotic reptile and invertebrate care. Darren’s dynamic talks are packed with fascinating wildlife facts, powerful rainforest conservation messages, and real-world insight into protecting some of the world’s most misunderstood creatures.

Whether you’re hosting a school, community group, or special event, Darren’s engaging style and deep knowledge will inspire audiences of all ages to care for the wild world around them.

Inspiring Education for the Next Generation.

At Jungle Lifeline CIC, we believe education is the key to protecting the future of wildlife. That’s why one of our goals is to raise funds to design a dedicated educational pack for schools, home-education groups, and youth organisations.

These resources will be carefully created by our team to:

  • Bring rainforest and wildlife conservation to life in the classroom.

  • Provide teachers with ready-to-use activities, fact sheets, and lesson plans linked to the curriculum.

  • Inspire young people to understand their role in protecting endangered species and ecosystems.

Alongside printed and digital packs, we also plan to offer online kids’ sessions where children can join us virtually to meet our rescued animals, take part in interactive activities, and learn how small actions can make a big difference for the planet.

By supporting this project, you’ll be helping us give children everywhere — not just those who can visit us in person — the chance to connect with wildlife, learn about conservation, and become tomorrow’s change makers.

Louies Voice for the Wild: The UK’s First Touring Rainforest Conservation Event Launches in Partnership with RSPO and Umberslade Adventure

A groundbreaking family-led eco experience launches in 2026 — led by Jungle Lifeline CIC and Louie the Orangutan, the world’s first fully-flanged animatronic orangutan ambassador.

[Solihull, UK – 2026] — Jungle Lifeline CIC, the family-run community interest company behind The Jungle Hut and Look, It’s Louie, proudly announces Louie Voice for the Wild — the UK’s first immersive rainforest conservation event.

Hosted at Umberslade Adventure, the official venue partner, this flagship event will take families on a journey through the rainforest — celebrating wildlife, sustainability, and the urgent need to protect our planet’s wild places.

Jungle Lifeline CIC is also partnering with the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) to highlight how choosing certified sustainable palm oil can protect rainforest habitats and endangered species such as orangutans.

At the heart of the event stands Louie the Orangutan, the world’s first fully flanged animatronic orangutan ambassador, inspiring audiences to become a Voice for the Wild.

Event Highlights

  • Ethical invertebrate encounters celebrating the small but mighty creatures vital to rainforest ecosystems.

  • Sustainable Palm Oil Discovery Zone, created in partnership with RSPO.

  • Eco-market stalls featuring ethical brands, green innovators, and local artisans.

  • Rainforest crafts, educational talks, and conservation workshops for all ages.

  • “Rhythm of the Rainforest” African Drum Workshop — an interactive family drumming experience celebrating the music, culture, and spirit of the world’s rainforests.

Throughout the year, Jungle Lifeline’s Look, It’s Louie: The Conservation Tour will continue the mission — a mobile pop-up conservation stand travelling across the UK to bring Louie’s message to schools, markets, and festivals.

A Message from the Founder

“We wanted to create something the UK had never seen before — a conservation event that’s inspiring, hands-on, and family-led,” said Darren Edwards, founder of Jungle Lifeline CIC and creator of Louie the Orangutan.

“Partnering with RSPO and hosting at Umberslade Adventure allows us to bring real-world conservation into a setting that feels alive and meaningful. Louie’s Voice for the Wild isn’t just an event; it’s a movement. We’re bringing the rainforest to our communities and showing that conservation can be exciting, ethical, and achievable for everyone.”

Partnership Opportunities

Jungle Lifeline CIC is inviting companies, ethical brands, and eco-focused organisations to join this pioneering event as partners or sponsors.
